Making its debut as the host of The Irish Open (alongside Rory McIlroy), the scenic Ballyliffin Golf Club in Donegal saw a record 90,000 golf enthusiasts flood in for a week of world renowned golfing, music and entertainment.
The Irish Open dates back to 1927 in Portmarnock, Ireland. Although several years were missed since then due to World War II, the tournament has been played each summer since 1975, firmly establishing it as an exciting summer event in Ireland and the wider golfing world.
