Installation and Delivery

Important things to note:

  • Lowe require a flat surface to build upon.
  • 3ft of additional space must be given around the room for good ventilation.
  • Access restrictions/lifts/stairs must be mentioned in advance. Lowe may need to do a site survey to ensure the cold room(s) can be built where required. This site survey is at an additional cost.
  • 2kw power per 8ft room needs to be supplied.
  • 16amp commando sockets need to be supplied.
  • Cold room must be destocked prior to collection.

Cold Room Case Studies

Warehouse Storage

In a large city, space often comes at a premium and warehouse space is often located upstairs and split across multiple rooms.  Lowe recently provided a cold storage solution for a Hong Kong food distributor which overcame these traditional difficulties using modular cold rooms.  Using interlocking panels which were easily carried upstairs to create a custom sized cold room, Lowe created cold storage specifically designed to work within the customer’s warehouse space. Dual temperature functionality provided added flexibility for both temperature-controlled rooms to be used as either walk-in freezer or walk-in chiller storage.

Major Sports Events

Major sporting events often require a complete cold room rental solution, a provision Lowe Rental have been supplying for the Singapore Grand Prix since the very first F1 race in Singapore in 2008.  As the refrigeration contractor for this prestigious event, Lowe deliver over a 100 cold rooms for the duration of the event.  Including a 360 degree service provision which includes: supply, installation, on-site maintenance, dismantling and logistical support through the event.
