With offices and distribution centres in UK, Germany, Dubai, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore Lowe is keen to recruit a Senior Technical Manager to join and grow the team.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Report directly to the Group Technical Director
  • To work closely with all Sales Managers and Directors in Europe, Asia and USA concerning equipment sourcing and sales support
  • To liaise with all manufacturers and global sales teams on product development, equipment suitability, regional approvals, compatibility and general specifications
  • To work with the Technical Director and Senior Sales Personnel on energy efficiency schemes throughout all sectors
  • To continually keep Directors and Senior Management aware of new product innovations and technology improvements
  • To take responsibility of group technical compliance, to advise the company of future potential changes and equipment with regard to environmental policies and customer/consumer policy changes
  • To fully understand legislative and trading standards, variations globally, approval processes and to keep the company fully advised and compliant
  • To assist both sales and operational representatives to develop current and future technical relationships in all sectors of our global business
  • To advise the Technical Director on equipment procurement
  • To attend where required, development exhibitions in each region
  • To assist with maintaining all product data integrity use in marketing communications
  • To be available for all Senior Management at all reasonable times for advice and assistance on equipment and technical issues
  • To make the company aware of any liabilities as they become visible
  • Approve suppliers’ invoices for payment or credit where applicable
  • As far as possible safeguard and secure all assets of the company and protect the company from exposure, financial or otherwise






The successful candidateshould have the following;


  • At least five years in a technical role within the refrigeration business
  • Be fully conversant with all retail remote and integral refrigeration systems
  • Have full knowledge of all UK based refrigeration trading standards and legislation
  • Full knowledge of refrigeration environmental policies and long-term objectives
  • Have practical experience in refrigeration design for general retail environment
  • Be a problem solver, excellent communicator ad be able to demonstrate ability to work with refrigeration design consultants, stake holders and business partners  


Therelevant skills, knowledge & experience you need to have are:



  • Superb organisational skills
  • To behave in a business-like manner to all customers, suppliers and staff
  • Excellent proof-reading skills
  • High level of interpersonal communication
  • Must be passionate about product innovation within this sector      
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial acumen
