ADA developed a new dark store fulfillment facility in London with a 100,000 sq./ft area and 45,000 sq./ft of chilled and frozen picking chambers. The client required a natural refrigerant solution, excluding ammonia, CO2, and A2L due to local fire authority restrictions. ADA provided a unique solution using R290/glycol chillers for the chilled chambers and unitized water-cooled R290 integrated monoblocks for the freezer chambers, ensuring compliance with the practical building limit and insurance requirements. The solution also satisfied the client's ESG requirements, promoting sustainability and energy efficiency.
