Lowe Rental and Pastorfrigor S.p.a have agreed to a distribution arrangement where Lowe Rental will provide fully approved (UL, NSF, DOE) commercial refrigeration cases to the US Market. Pastorfrigor is a commercial refrigeration OEM based in Alessandria, Italy that is known for its specialty case design and energy-efficient reach-in door cases and a full range of natural refrigerant ( R290 and C02) cases.
Lowe will provide the following equipment families and categories to the US Market:
- Remote, C02 Cases with evaporator pressure ratings up to 80 bar.
- Modular, multiplexable R290 Multi-decks and Reach-in’s, including Europe’s most energy efficient door case – the Genova.
- A full lineup of innovative service and specialty cases with both C02 and R290 versions available.
Like all products offered by Lowe, these cases will be available on Lowe’s “Refrigeration as a Service” model. This model allows retailers to pay for their refrigerated cases and all associated service and installation costs, only for the length of time they are needed.
This model offers retailers unparalleled flexibility for refrigeration equipment and enables more strategic decision-making.
- Quickly remove and replace end-of-life assets
- HFC to C02 Store Retrofits
- Permanently replace high leak rate or HFC lineups with R290 or small charge C02
- Quickly launch Micro-Fulfillment Centers with adaptable layouts
- Replace equipment at store locations that will be exited upon lease expiry
Refrigeration as a Service addresses the full lifecycle needs of refrigerated cases and systems. Whether the need is temporary or permanent, RaaS allows retailers to lock in both their capital and operational costs for their refrigeration.
This partnership will further enhance Lowe’s mission to help US retailers transition from HFCs to natural refrigerants.
