SIAL - one of the biggest exhibitions in the calendar, made its eagerly awaited return to Paris, bringing together professionals from the food and beverage industry around the world. Commenting on the exhibition, SIAL’s Network Director, Nicolas Trentesaux notes "SIAL Paris offers a unique and comprehensive melting pot of experiences from across the entire food universe. For the sectors that already count today, along with those in their infancy, the young start-ups that will be making the news tomorrow in France, India, Canada, Brazil or elsewhere. There was a window of visibility for everyone”
Although the biennial exhibition may be finished for another edition, for exhibitors the value in terms of brand awareness and ROI extends far beyond the halls of SIAL’s bustling Paris Nord Villepinne. Indeed, for visitors too, the exhibition is a valuable experience. From discovering new brands to making new connections and uncovering new ideas driving the industry forward; there’s a reason so many businesses travel from across the world to attend.
The 2018 edition of SIAL welcomed 7,200 exhibitors, 87% of which were from outside France. Record attendance was also achieved with over 310,000 industry professionals visiting the exhibition.
The successful delivery and installation of thousands of units of refrigeration and catering equipment to exhibitor stands requires months of preparation for Lowe’s sales and operations staff. And undertaking these efforts smoothly forms just one piece in the complicated exhibition puzzle. Lowe’s piece, as official supplier of refrigeration and catering equipment, ultimately ensures exhibitors achieve success in their exhibition stand display efforts.
Arriving on-site a week in advance, Lowe’s operations team assembled and organized equipment ahead of being installed on exhibitor stands. The day before the exhibition begins, Lowe’s equipment specialists are assigned halls and begin the delivery and installation of equipment.
Meanwhile, the Lowe service desk is open as exhibitors arrive – Lowe staff are on-hand here to assist with any queries or to dispatch any help needed. Senior Rental Sales Executive Nicola Marshall notes that “The days before the exhibition begins are the busiest but by far the most rewarding. I love seeing all the product displays complete and looking fantastic after so much hard work from everyone involved.”
Once the exhibition begins, Lowe staff remain onsite, ready to help for the duration of the five days. Having the extra security of Lowe’s expert equipment specialists on-hand really makes a difference for exhibitors’ exhibition experience.
When SIAL’s doors close for another edition, the Lowe team’s final stage begins – the de-installation and removal of equipment. Renting refrigeration and catering equipment with Lowe means finishing up and leaving the exhibition much quicker as all the removal efforts are managed by the team. Once the exhibition closes Lowe’s customers can focus on those valuable leads and contacts garnered throughout the exhibition.
