Lowe Rental Brings The Power Of Rental To The 2025 PGA Championships

 

One of four majors, the PGA Championship held at the Quail Hollow Golf Club in North Carolina is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport. Welcoming hundreds of thousands of spectators and requiring world-class operational infrastructure, especially when it comes to serving food and beverages.

With an established history as a longstanding supplier to golf events around the world, Lowe Rental was engaged to support the event’s contract caterers in delivering a seamless experience for guests, players, and staff. This demanded a diverse and reliable range of refrigeration and catering equipment suitable for the premium requirements of a multi-day tournament hosted across expansive grounds with dispersed catering zones.

The Challenge

Providing large-scale refrigeration and foodservice support capable of sustaining a multi-day event serving over half a million meals and keeping more than one million beverages perfectly chilled is no small feat. The challenges where considerable, primarily because the nature of access around a golf course leaves limited space for equipment delivery and makes the logistics of delivering premium food services significantly more complex. Additionally, the organisers faced challenges sourcing a single supplier with the equipment range and experience necessary to deliver a high profile project of this scale.

Our Rental Solution

Using 22 trailers to transport equipment to and across the site, Lowe Rental delivered and installed over 500+ pieces of refrigeration and foodservice equipment, all configured across multiple service zones. With runs of 64-foot concession coolers with the capacity to keep over 1 million beverages chilled, double glass door chillers for bar and hospitality areas, grills and ovens for hot food production across hospitality zones, and hot holding units to support high-speed service during peak periods.

All provided through our comprehensive event rental service which includes delivery, installation, ongoing onsite technical support, decommissioning, and removal. The expertise of the Lowe Rental operational team within the USA, developed through a longstanding history of successfully delivering large-scale events globally, was pivotal to the successful execution of this project. A dedicated on-site project team was present for weeks leading up to and during the event, ensuring real-time support and operational continuity.
